Before you submit an application for a character, it would probably be helpful to know exactly how many you can have, huh? Well, there’s an 8 character limit with a maximum of 4 canon. In other words, you can have 8 characters in total, but only half of that amount can be canon.
Okay, so now you’re ready to apply for a character, what do you need to do?
• First of all, familiarize yourself with the Rules. You must know them!
• While you’re allowed 8 characters, please do not apply for more than 2 to begin with in order to make sure you can keep up with the pace of the game.
• If you want to play a character that has appeared on either of the shows, check to make sure that character hasn’t already been claimed or placed on reserve. You can find that information HERE. Or if you want to play a canon character and need some suggestions, then see the NPC List for available possibilities.
• If you’re submitting an original character of your own creation, check to make sure the PB you’ve chosen hasn’t already been taken or reserved. This game does not allow any repeat PBs. The only exceptions to this are PBs who have played more than one character within the Stargate franchise, (ie: Christopher Heyerdahl who’s played both Halling and Todd the Wraith.). Again, you can find that information by clicking the link above.
• Also, please do not apply to play clones, doppelgangers, genetically created or AU versions of canon characters, etc., unless you have an idea for a story line that involves such a character or plan to use such a plot device to bring back a deceased character. In either case, you’ll need to get approval from the Mods. Currently, the only approved clone is Dr. Carson Beckett for obvious reasons.
• To see some examples of completed applications you can visit the Character Profiles journal. And if you're unsure about anything or have questions, check the Character FAQs section of this forum. If you don’t find your answers there, then please feel free to contact the Mods. (They don’t bite. Honest!) Or you can post your questions to the Character FAQs section.
Once you've accomplished all this, then you’re ready to fill out the application form to apply for membership. Simply copy/paste the form below into an email -- No attachments please! -- or send a link to where your application has been posted. Please make sure you fill in the required fields entirely, in your own words, before submitting. Then it's just a matter of waiting for a response. Your application will usually be reviewed within 24-48 hours.
If your application is not approved the first time or you’re asked to make changes, don’t be offended. Your application can be resubmitted, and the Mods and Admin will work with you to get your character approved.
